Here is an example of just how much $5USD can help. Huge difference. No cost.

USD$5 is 332.749 INR and will allow us to buy one new book for our library at the school. Funds collected will be also helpful to host a new volunteer who can commit to six months in Bali and teach agriculture, English, arts, maths or sports.

Location Ubud, Indonesia

UbudCycling.Bike or UCB was established in 2014 in Bali. UCB is operated by Komang, a local Balinese young man with senior high school education. Komang's mission is to create a RIPPLE EFFECT through his social enterprise by offering cycling tours to tourists from all over the globe and introduce them to his local remote school with 155 kids...maybe you are the next person wanting to empower by sharing your knowledge at the school?

At UbudCycling.Bike we:

* Offer eco-cultural day trips

* Take a holistic approach to empower youth and their families

* Are proud to be a Balinese-managed business

* Seek ways to become more sustainable

* Offer agriculture, English, arts, maths and sports placements at our school. About the School

* Located 1.20min away from Monkey Forest – City Centre of Ubud

* 159 students (7 years to 12 years old)

* School starts at 7am and finishes at 12pm

* We have 24-29 students in each class

Komang Indrayana is not only supporting his family through his social enterprise but also his school. By joining our tour or volunteer program you are making bright future possible!

In Bali, there are as many as 162,051 people living in poverty and this figure has been on the increase. In the villages, the rate at which the number of poor is rising is twice as much as that of Bali’s urban areas. In the Balinese countryside, it is estimated that more than 77,400 people are living in poverty. Good news in the fight for education and youth empowerment in developing countries. More people are looking for a purpose in their life and we hope our program can educate and empower those who dont have access to quality education.

This project can be visited any time during the year but we expect our volunteers to commit to six months of school placement as it takes a very long time to develop a relationhsip with children. If you speak Bahasa Indonesia it is always an advantage, however the kids speak basic English.
