Here is an example of just how much $5USD can help. Huge difference. No cost.

Every dollar helps to support our needed programs.

Since 2009, PROJECT FUTURES has been supporting the Somaly Mam Foundation in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, providing funding for the operational costs for their survivor shelters, sponsoring English tutoring, and running life skills programs.

The Somaly Mam Foundation (SMF), founded in 2007 by sexual slavery survivor, Somaly Mam, is dedicated to ending slavery around the world. SMF focuses on three critical program areas: survivor services, empowerment (education and scholarship) and eradicating slavery through advocacy and awareness raising.

PROJECT FUTURES is a Sydney based, non-profit organisation, run by a passionate network of young and inspiring professionals. They raise awareness and funding for programs dedicated to combating human trafficking and sexual exploitation in Australia and South-East Asia. The money raised contributes to funding the rescue, recovery, education and reintegration of victims, as well as advocacy for the cause. Since our establishment in June 2009 until 31 December 2012, our network has given over $600,000 to our projects.

PROJECT FUTURES was inspired by the biography of former Cambodian sex slave, Somaly Mam. In June 2009, Stephanie Lorenzo established PROJECT FUTURES after organising a charity bike ride across Cambodia for the Somaly Mam Foundation. Combining a socially engaged network, a fun and motivational activity and a life-changing experience of meeting survivors of sex trafficking, provided the catalyst to what would eventually become PROJECT FUTURES.

You can read more on both organisations at www.projectfutures.com and www.somaly.org.

Every dollar helps to support our needed programs - shelters, tuition and running life skills programs.

For your information, PROJECT FUTURES does not operate/run any shelters in South East Asia, but is a partner and donor to both AFESIP and The Somaly Mam Foundation (you can read more at http://www.projectfutures.com/projects/).
